Three dashes are appearing on the display
This is normal for the start-up process. Shortly after, the thermometer will display close to room temperature. If the three dashes remain on the display for a long period of time, try to restart the thermometer by removing and reinstalling the battery. If the issue persists, please contact us at (800) 467-6408 for further assistance.



Battery type
This unit uses one 357/LR44 battery.
