1. Remove the plastic battery tab from the battery compartment.
2. Set the scale on a flat, hard and even surface to ensure proper measurements.
3. Press the 'Power' button.
4. Press the 'Unit' button to select your desired measuring mode.
5. Place item to be measured onto the scale.
